Real Markets works closely with local communities, community groups and charities.

Many of our markets offer free charity and community stalls to raise awareness and much needed funds for a variety of local causes. Get in contact if you would like to know more about having a charity stall at one of our markets. Please note, we are a non-political organisation that supports local producers and artisans. We do not feel it fulfils our purpose to provide space for stalls concerned with political issues.

Real Markets are a Friend of The Clarke Foley Centre in Ilkley. Being a Friend of Clarke Foley means supporting a unique community facility that has combatted isolation and loneliness in Ilkley and surrounding areas for over 40 years. Our funding helps support a diverse range of individuals, groups, organisations, and local businesses that use the facility on a daily basis. Each group, in their own way, provides physical, social, and mental health benefits to their attendees.
Sponsoring Clarke Foley means supporting a hub and second home that branches out and touches the whole Community. Being a Friend of Clarke Foley helps make all of the above possible.
Real Markets also give funding to Improving Ilkley. Improving Ilkley is a registered charity that was formed in 2021, to identify and deliver projects around the town. The first being the three large flowerbeds outside the Station plaza, that are regularly maintained by a team of volunteers throughout the year.
Their current ‘Ilkley fountain’ project is ongoing and they continue to fundraise via their JustGiving page.
Also in receipt of donations from Real Markets is The Friends of Roberts Park, Saltaire. Roberts Park is the home of our monthly Saltaire Farmers Market and is cared for by this incredible group of volunteers. Our support enables the group to care for this park which is at the heart of the community and also helps pay for performers at the Roberts Park Bandstand.
